Sandwiches are a triumph of evolution. No more ripping into raw meat with our incisors, or clawing food apart with our hands. We have a tidy, edible barrier that lets us shovel impossible numbers of flavor combinations into our faces with ease and grace. Sandwiches should be celebrated, and at Sun Street Breads they are: at breakfast with the gluttonous Southern Fried Biscuit stuffed with decadent fried chicken, bacon, and sausage gravy; and at lunch with a host of grab-and-go baguettes, a meatloaf sammy with apple butter and fried shallot cream cheese, and a steak and swiss hoagie. Best of all, they serve their lunch sandwiches with fries, not chips, and the bread, arguably the linchpin of any good sandwich, is some of the best in the city.
