Classic foods call for classic menus, and mainstay Christos, open since 1988, delivers all the expected Greek food without straying too far from tradition. The falafel is crunchy, the tzatziki fresh, and the gyros are the perfect combination of warm, soft pita and redolent, spiced meats. Best yet, it's cheap. A plate of falafel or gyro will run you $7 to $8 and dinner rings in at $11 to $12. The original location on Eat Street is comfortable and spacious enough to get a table; the Union Depot offshoot in Lowertown adds new flair and a daytime bottomless buffet; and western suburbanites will appreciate the convenient Minnetonka location.
